Nvidia has ended support for its classic Control Panel in the latest Game Ready Driver. The change affects clean installations of the driver, marking the end of a 20-year-old interface.
Nvidia App takes over all features
The Nvidia App now replaces the Control Panel with modernized features. Existing installations of the Control Panel will remain but will not receive future updates.
Users can still download the Control Panel from the Microsoft Store, but it will no longer be updated. Nvidia confirmed that all actively supported features for GeForce users have been moved to the new app.
The transition applies to both Game Ready and Studio Drivers. Nvidia stated that the Control Panel is officially retiring after two decades of service.
This move consolidates Nvidia's driver software into a single, modern interface. The Nvidia App aims to provide a streamlined experience for adjusting graphics settings and managing drivers.
