Xiaomi has released the Redmi Pad 2 9.7 tablet in Europe, Australia, and Turkey. The company currently offers this device exclusively as a Wi-Fi-only model in these regions. Customers cannot purchase a version with cellular connectivity at this time.

Xiaomi expands compact tablet availability to new regions with Wi-Fi-only model

The tablet features a Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 processor paired with a 9.7-inch IPS display. The screen outputs at 2,048 by 1,280 pixels and maintains a 16:10 aspect ratio. It reaches 600 nits of peak brightness and supports a 120 Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi includes a 7,600 mAh battery inside the chassis. The device runs HyperOS 3 on top of Android 16.

The Redmi Pad 2 9.7 starts at €159.99 EUR (about $186) in Europe. Australia sees an entry price of AUD 299 AUD (about $214). Turkey lists the tablet at TRY 7,299 TRY (about $160). The device is now available for purchase across all three markets.

Xiaomi positions this compact tablet as a more affordable alternative to its larger Redmi Pad 2 lineup. The company previously launched the model in Southeast Asian countries with optional 4G support before expanding to these new regions.
