Leaked specs for the HMD Fusion refresh reveal a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 upgrade, 120 Hz display, and OIS camera for the European market.

HMD is working on the refreshed version of their modular Fusion smartphone for Europe. These changes are important for the people looking for improved performance without spending more. From the leak, it seems like we're going to get a much powerful version of the Fusion smartphone.

Leaked specs show processor and display upgrades for European market

This refresh will help solve the performance problems of the original smartphone. The refresh is designed to overcome the limitations of the initial hardware.

Specifications

  • Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2
  • Display: 6.56-inch FHD+ IPS LCD 120 Hz
  • RAM: 8 GB or 12 GB
  • Storage: 256 GB
  • Main Camera: 108 MP with OIS

For the European version of the Fusion, HMD is moving away from the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 to a more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. For the memory, you get 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Also, you will have virtual RAM expansion. The improvement in the processing power and the RAM is expected to help the smartphone with multitasking and application opening speeds.

The display is getting a decent bump as it'll have a 6.56-inch FHD+ IPS LCD at 120Hz instead of the HD+ 90 Hz panel of the original. The camera specs are mostly similar but now we see that the 108 MP primary camera will have OIS as per the leak. This will help with low-light stability.

It also has a secondary 2 MP camera and a 50 MP selfie camera. The battery is still 5000 mAh with 33 W wired charging.

We also see the mention of a 4 year software update guarantee. This refresh makes sense if we go back to what we've covered earlier about the HMD Fusion 2 development. The smartphone is coming to Europe but the launch date isn't out yet.

This leak is from smashx_60. This isn't an official announcement from HMD. From the specs, it looks like we'll get a huge upgrade.

We need confirmation before the launch. These updates in the display and the processor can help overcome the issues in the display and performance previously.
