Coolpad launches a new smartphone for those of you who want more wider screen on your mobile. We're talking about Cool X Wide here. This is the first wide-screen smartphone from Coolpad.

Cool X Wide breaks the 20:9 mold with a 16:10 display and Helio G99
It will offer you an alternative to all 20:9 screen smartphones in the market. This one is a good option for those who want something different in aspect ratio for media consumption or productivity.

MediaTek Helio G99 processor is paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage for daily activities and light games. It offers a dual SIM dual standby function. So you can manage 2 phone numbers with this one.
The display on the Cool X Wide is 6.38-inch TFT with HD resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. This one comes with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Which means it gives you more vertical space rather than the taller ones.
It's a 150.3 x 94.5 x 8.95mm phone with 4,600mAh battery inside to power up all of the stuff. There's 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB configurations. You can add up to 256GB of extra storage with the help of the microSD slot.
Unfortunately, Coolpad hasn't announced the price of the Cool X Wide yet. So we're not sure about the price at this moment. The company hasn't announced the charging speed of the 4,600mAh battery.
We still don't know about the front camera and the number of cameras on the back. All we know so far is the Cool X Wide's back cameras include 50MP main sensor and a macro one.
The Coolpad Cool X Wide can be pre-order since October 12, 2026. It's available for the global market. This launch is pretty interesting because it's a budget-friendly wide-screen smartphone. At least you can pre-order this one until the price and charging speed announced.
