Oppo is going to launch Reno 17 Pro very soon. Leaked specs suggest a radical change in the approach of making small size devices and simultaneously offering good battery backup. This could be quite interesting for those who want smaller form factor but often find themselves in need of charging their phones frequently. It's clearly trying to target those who're looking for a small size package and a beast mode battery backup.

Leaked specs suggest a massive battery in a compact smartphone form factor
Oppo Reno 17 Pro will have a 6.32-inch flat screen, which offers 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Although Oppo hasn't revealed the processor used in the phone, it's suggested that it could be MediaTek Dimensity 8550 SUPER processor. If this happens to be true, then we're talking about some mid-range capabilities that'll offer modern day performance on the device.
Specifications
- Display Size: 6.32-inch
- Display Resolution: 1.5K
- Refresh Rate: 120Hz
- Chipset: MediaTek Dimensity 8550 SUPER
- Front Camera: 50MP
For those who love cameras, there's a triple camera system at the back, which is headlined by a 200MP primary camera. Not only that, the company's equipping it with 50MP ultrawide camera and 50MP periscope telephoto camera for taking pictures with zoom. On the front, it's going to offer a 50MP camera for taking selfies and for video calls.
Now, the most interesting part here is that the leaked specs also suggest that the device could be using a huge 7000mAh (approx.) battery. This could be quite surprising for a device that's going to have a relatively smaller size screen. It could even have the telephoto extender which we've seen in their Find X series for added zoom.
If you remember our previous story: Oppo Reno 15A Launches in Japan – The 7000mAh battery monster. Well, there it is again. Quite a trend we're seeing with Oppo's phones.
We saw this huge battery capacity on Reno 15A. Now, Reno 17 Pro seems to be taking this trend a step ahead by carrying the same small size package of 6.32-inch.
There's no official release date, but we're hearing the launch could happen in November. The company's not revealed the performance capabilities or processor. So, we're looking at some unconfirmed tips coming from Digital Chat Station until there's an official statement from Oppo regarding Reno 17 Pro.
