Krafton, the publisher behind PUBG, introduced a childbirth support system in February 2025. The program offers 100,000,000 KRW (about $66,763) per child to employees.
46 babies born in first quarter
In the first quarter of 2026, 46 babies were born to Krafton employees. That number nearly doubled the 23 births in 2025 and the 21 in 2024.
The support system includes two years of parental leave and replacement staff hiring. Krafton CEO Choi Jae-geun said the company confirmed that businesses can bring about real change when they actively participate in solving social problems. He added that Krafton will continue to practice corporate social responsibility through childbirth and childcare support systems.
South Korea's birth rate rose to 0.80 in 2025 from 0.75 in 2024. Krafton's program is one example of corporate initiatives aimed at addressing the country's low birth rate.
