The Outlast Trials update 1.64/1.000.062 hits servers on Tuesday, September 8, at 10AM ET. This Season 7.1 patch directly targets the connectivity issues that disrupt cooperative horror gameplay. Players seeking stable online sessions should prioritize this release before the limited-time content expires.
Stability fixes and new limited-time content arrive Tuesday
Red Barrels deployed the Chemical Leak Update to global platforms on September 8. The patch introduces a new limited-time event and catalog themed around the chemical leak scenario. This content remains available until Tuesday, October 6, at 10AM ET.

The update adds two new MK-Challenges: Change the Program and Fund the Campaign. Red Barrels stated that the patch includes various bug fixes and improvements. The developer also improved Escalation run stability to reduce server disconnections.
Mods support is now removed from the game. Quality-of-life settings, including field of view and bloom, are built-in features. Invasion gameplay adjustments include Evasive Manoeuvre counter changes and Imposter spawn logic fixes. Escalation mode maintains permanent damage and no revives for Trials 21 and above.
We looked at the last The Outlast Trials update earlier while tracking balance changes. That previous patch also highlighted stability themes that this new release continues to address. The current update focuses on technical reliability alongside new seasonal content.
The Chemical Leak event runs for one month. Players can access the new catalog and challenges until the October 6 deadline. The patch ships globally without additional pricing.
