Palworld players facing a game-breaking infinite loading screen after the World Tree boss fight now have a fix. Pocketpair Inc. released hotfix version 1.101.103 to resolve this specific crash and several other stability issues. This update matters because the previous state made the endgame content unplayable for many users. We can finally progress past the World Tree without the game freezing indefinitely.
Pocketpair releases patch to resolve critical endgame stability issues
The hotfix targets critical failures in both single-player and multiplayer modes. It specifically addresses crashes and disconnections during the Panthalus battle on dedicated servers. Players who previously experienced sudden disconnects or game crashes during this boss fight should see improved stability. The update also fixes a bug where the Tower Boss Victor & Shadowbeak would disappear after using a teleportation attack.
Pocketpair notes the fix for today as: "Fixed an issue where an infinite loading screen would occur after defeating the World Tree boss in some cases." The patch also resolves a crash that occurred when attempting Japanese text input in fullscreen mode. Additionally, the team fixed a terrain display issue in The World Tree area from the host's perspective. Guests in the final boss battle will now see their lights display correctly after respawning.
PC players on Steam received the patch on July 30, while console updates began rolling out on July 31. This follows the previous 1.0.2 patch which addressed similar dedicated server crashes during boss fights. When we covered the last Palworld update, several of the same balance and stability themes came up. The current hotfix continues the developer's effort to stabilize the dedicated server infrastructure.
The 1.101.103 update is now available on all supported platforms. It resolves the most severe blocking bugs that prevented players from completing key boss encounters. Users should update immediately to avoid the infinite loading screen and server disconnects.
