The sequel to the action game WUCHANG has entered official development, marking a major shift in the franchise's ownership and creative direction. Buyers who followed the original title should note that the project now moves under 505 Games, which acquired the intellectual property rights from Digital Bros Group in April 2026. This transition ends the previous era of development and establishes a new partnership structure for the game's future.

Indolphinity leads creative development while 505 Games handles global publishing

505 Games and Indolphinity have signed a development and publishing agreement for the new entry, titled WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers. Indolphinity, the studio founded by WUCHANG creator Xia Siyuan, will lead the creative development of the sequel. 505 Games will provide the necessary funding and manage global publishing duties. Digital Bros Group is also establishing a dedicated subsidiary in Chengdu, China, to support the development process.

The announcement confirms the specific roles each company will play in the game's production. Xia Siyuan and his team at Indolphinity retain creative control over the game's design and narrative. 505 Games handles the business side, including financing and worldwide distribution. This structure allows the original creator to focus on development while leveraging a larger publisher's infrastructure.

Digital Bros Group co-CEOs Raffi and Rami Galante stated that they strongly believe in WUCHANG as a long-term global franchise. They described the partnership with Xia Siyuan and Indolphinity as a natural step in building the franchise's future. Xia Siyuan, founder of Indolphinity, added that the story is far from over and that the new chapter is deeply rooted in Eastern soil. The game is scheduled for release in April 2026.
