ABUTTON is launching a public playtest for Guns & Dragons, a fantasy roguelite first-person shooter, starting July 30. This event gives players an early look at the studio’s approach to weapon design and combat before the full release. We can finally see how the team translates their vision for ridiculous weaponry into actual gameplay mechanics.

ABUTTON’s fantasy shooter opens early access on Steam and Epic

The game is developed by ABUTTON, a Korean studio featuring veterans from DAVE THE DIVER and Counter-Strike Online. Guns & Dragons combines fast-paced ranged combat with evolving character builds in a vibrant magitech fantasy world. Players can bring guns, bows, and arcane engineering into this setting to push weapon designs to their limits.

Guns & Dragons supports both solo and cooperative play for up to three players. The public playtest begins on July 30 at 12:00 a.m. PT and runs through August 10. The title will be available on PC via and the Epic Games Store.

The game will also be playable at ChinaJoy 2026 from July 31 to August 3. ABUTTON game director Park Jun-woo described the project as a labor of passion focused on responsive and challenging combat. He emphasized the freedom to experiment with weapon build evolution as a core part of the experience.

This playtest marks the first time players can try Guns & Dragons on PC. The event runs for eleven days, providing a window to test the game’s mechanics before its official launch.
