Night Street Games has announced that its multiplayer shooter Last Flag will receive no further development support beyond the final update. The developer confirmed that the game will not be shutting down, but financial constraints mean additional patches are unlikely. Mac Reynolds stated that the team wanted to offer a complete experience at an affordable price without microtransactions or battle passes.

The title launched on April 14 after five years of development and is available on for $14.99 USD (about $14.99). Last Flag features a CTF-inspired shooter mode with no microtransactions and includes upcoming content such as the tenth character, a new map, and leaderboards. The final update will bring custom lobbies with amendable rules.

The team noted that the game failed to find an audience on Steam despite promotional campaigns involving Imagine Dragons social networks. Player count dwindled remarkably quickly according to Insider Gaming reports. Night Street Games confirmed that Last Flag now belongs to the players and hopes it stays alive in one form or another for years to come.

Mac Reynolds explained that the financial reality of their situation means they are unlikely to support additional development beyond some upcoming patches. However, the game will not be shutting down, and updates aim to bring more value and control to users. The team wants to ensure the experience is complete at an affordable price point without any microtransactions or battle passes.

Night Street Games has not confirmed a specific date for the final update with custom lobbies. The vendor stated that Last Flag will remain available but support for further development is unlikely due to financial reality. Night Street Games remains the sole source for this information regarding the game's status and future plans.
