Xiaomi raises prices on the Pad 8 tablet by Rs. 2,000 across all variants in India. Entry-level pricing now starts at Rs. 35,999 amid component shortages.

Buyers in India are paying more for the Xiaomi Pad 8 tablet after the company raised prices across all available configurations. The price hike adds Rs. 2,000 to every model currently sold in the region. This adjustment affects entry-level and premium variants alike.

Tablet models face a flat price hike across all configurations due to rising memory and storage chip costs.

The Xiaomi Pad 8 uses an 11.2-inch display with a 3.2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It reaches up to 800 nits of peak brightness. The tablet runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset paired with LPDDR5T RAM.

Storage options include UFS 4.1 modules with capacities reaching 256GB. The device ships with a large 9,200mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. A quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos handles audio duties for media playback.

The tablet runs HyperOS 3 and supports the Focus Pen Pro stylus for creative tasks. Buyers can choose from several RAM and storage configurations to match their workflow needs. The device also offers a Nano Texture Display variant for improved readability in bright environments.

All Xiaomi Pad 8 models now carry a higher price tag due to rising component costs. The entry-level version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage starts at Rs. 35,999 INR (about $0.38). The mid-range model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage now costs Rs. 38,999 INR (about $0.41).

The Nano Texture Display version with the same internal specs is priced at Rs. 40,999 INR (about $0.43). Bundling the Focus Pen Pro adds another layer to the cost structure for both storage tiers. The base model bundled with the stylus now costs Rs. 43,999 INR (about $0.46), while the premium bundle reaches Rs. 45,999 INR (about $0.48).

Xiaomi has not issued an official statement regarding this price adjustment. Other brands in the Indian market have also raised prices on mid-range devices recently. This trend reflects a broader supply-demand imbalance for memory and storage chips driven by AI data center demand.
