We are getting all the hardware details from leakers about the upcoming Realme 17 Pro+. From the looks of it, this is a phone that has been made with the battery heavy and high refresh rate mobile gaming enthusiasts in mind. Not a great deal of attention has been paid to premium materials.
Leaked specs point to a massive battery and high refresh rate display for mobile gaming enthusiasts
The phone is expected to have a ginormous 10,000 mAh battery. It also can do up to 165 Hz refresh rates in supported games. This has the potential to massively increase the time before you need to charge. We'll be keeping an eye out for these rumors to see if Realme will achieve their high hardware goals.
Rumored Specifications
- Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 7500
- Battery: 10,000 mAh
- Main Camera: 200 MP
- Telephoto Camera: 50 MP periscope with 3.5x optical zoom
- Display Refresh Rate: 165 Hz (games), 120 Hz (OS)
The phone will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7500 chipset that will have to carry the weight of this hardware. Leaker Gadgetsdata shared these initial details about the phone. This device is going to be a mid-range phone with high end specs. The phone seems to be aimed at those who want high end performance metrics without having to pay for a flagship chipset.
The camera setup is rumored to consist of a main 200-megapixel sensor. This will be accompanied by a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom. The screen will be an OLED one that will do 120 Hz for the operating system.
However, it will go up to 165 Hz in select games. All these camera and display specs are aimed at high resolution imagery and smooth motion in visual tasks.
Instead of having an aluminum frame for the phone, Realme is reportedly planning to go with a plastic frame. This will probably help keep costs under control as well as make room for a large battery inside. We could see the phone launch in January if the company continues with the same schedule as the previous ones.
But we have not heard of this yet. We'll be watching official channels to get the exact launch window and pricing as the rumor cycle ends.
