The code includes a reference to a "tertiary" position in the role selection screen. LoL dataminer LoLLeaksEN shared the finding on social media, noting that nothing has been verified yet. Only a single line of code was found in the game files.
According to the source, the change is expected to be announced between MSI 2026 and LoL Worlds 2026. Riot is also working on a broader overhaul of the support role as part of League Next.
