Riot Games has announced a new format for the League of Legends Game Changers Rising competition in the EMEA region for 2026. The tournament will feature monthly stages from May to September, followed by playoffs in October.

Each stage can host up to 32 teams. Teams earn points across the stages, and the top six point-earners qualify for the playoffs. The playoffs will also include the winners of the German Equal Esports Cup and the French Nova Series. The first stage, called Kick Off, runs from May 29 to May 31, 2026. The competition is organized by N.E.O (New Esports Org).

Riot Games stated that building an inclusive and supportive environment for all players is fundamental to what they do. The company also said the evolution of Game Changers goes beyond competition, aiming to create conditions for women across EMEA to compete at the highest level and be recognized for their talent. Riot added that their leagues are open by design, and their ambition is to ensure the next generation of top players is welcomed and valued in the competitive landscape.
