Huawei has released the MatePad Pro Max in Germany, targeting users who require a large display without the bulk of traditional tablets. The device ships today with a focus on extreme thinness and portability, aiming to compete in the high-end tablet market. Buyers looking for a lightweight 13-inch screen for creative work or media consumption should note this new option.

Thinnest 13-inch tablet features 144Hz OLED and starts at 1099 EUR

The tablet features a 13.2-inch Flexible OLED PaperMatte display that runs at a 3000×2000 resolution. Huawei claims this is the world's thinnest and lightest tablet in its class, measuring just 4.7 mm at its slimmest point. The standard edition weighs 499 grams, while the PaperMatte Edition adds 10 grams to reach 509 grams.
