Sandfall Interactive released update 1.500.600 for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 on June 30 to address critical combat logic errors and add regional language support. This patch matters to players who rely on precise turn-based mechanics, as previous bugs allowed enemies to bypass stun effects and triggered incorrect weapon behaviors. The update also introduces Arabic text support and credits new linguists and testers to the game.

Patch resolves combat exploits and adds Arabic language support

The developer addressed several specific interactions involving character weapons and status effects in this release. A fix resolves an issue where applying burn damage after stunning an enemy allowed that enemy to act immediately upon recovering. Another correction ensures that Cleim weapon level 10 Lumina effects trigger correctly on every instance of area of effect skills. The patch also fixes Martenon Lumina effects that failed to activate if the character Sciel lacked two consecutive turns.

Technical adjustments extend to buff management and audio cues for specific enemies. The update resolves conflicts where Sireso weapon buffs, Level 4 Lumina effects, and Powerful buffs from Pictos or Luminas overrode each other based on a character's position at the start of battle. Audio fixes address missing sound cues for the Chromatic Lampmaster jump attack and Sirene Widow Ballet second charm attack. These changes ensure that visual and auditory feedback align with the intended combat experience.

Players on PC may encounter a crash when loading into the Reacher area or exiting the Manor. The developer states that this crash affects only certain PC hardware or software configurations without specifying a full list of affected systems. Users experiencing this issue can apply a workaround by changing the Global Illumination setting from Epic to High, Medium, or Low. This adjustment prevents the crash while maintaining playable visual fidelity.

This patch delivers targeted fixes for combat logic, audio, and stability issues reported by the community. The addition of Arabic support expands the game's accessibility for new regions. Players should update to version 1.500.600 to resolve the stun-and-burn exploit and the Reacher area crash. The release confirms Sandfall Interactive's ongoing support for the title's technical stability.
