AYANEO confirms NEXT 2 handheld shipping remains on track for June 2025, with trial production starting early June. New orders are unavailable due to component shortages.

has provided an update on the NEXT 2 handheld, confirming that trial production is expected to begin in early June. Mass production is slated to start around mid-June, and the company believes that starting shipment in June remains achievable.

Trial production begins early June

The NEXT 2 features a massive 9.06-inch OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. It is equipped with an equally enormous 116Wh battery and dual Smart Touchpads alongside the standard array of controls.

Global shipments are expected to begin in June 2025. However, AYANEO cannot guarantee additional production for new orders due to RAM and storage shortages and higher prices. Interested customers are encouraged to contact customer service to join a waitlist.

The company stated that it will make every possible effort to meet the June shipment target, but it cannot promise additional NEXT 2 production beyond the current plan. The exact launch window for new orders remains unclear.
