The changes lay the groundwork for the upcoming Frozen Trail expansion and address several stability issues that have plagued recent play sessions.

The update, identified as build 1.000.055, shifts the game’s foundation from Unreal Engine 5.3 to version 5.7. The engine upgrade from Unreal Engine 5.3 to 5.7 is intended to enhance performance and visual quality for the game. Embark stated, "Embark has released the latest game update for ARC Raiders, bringing the game to version 1.45.0 on all platforms."

A significant shift in the game’s economy is the retirement of the Cred currency. The developers confirmed, "We are retiring Cred as a currency, as we’ll be introducing a more expansive reward system launching with the Frozen Trail Update." Players can still use their existing Cred balance until October 8, after which the currency will no longer be usable. The retirement of the Cred currency, which expires on October 8, precedes the launch of the Frozen Trail Update.

New in-game content includes the 'Raider Project: Ascending the Mountain' questline and the Hornet Hunter Set. The update also adds community-designed rubber ducks to the Raider Den in Bird City.
