A new trailer for Shinji Faction has been revealed by TYPE-MOON and Aniplex. The new trailer for Fate/EXTRA Record is out and features new character information. This is a great way to better see the lineup in the game before launch on January 28, 2027. Fans of the series will get a better idea of how the story flows with these particular character inclusions.

In the new trailer, fans get their first look at Matou Shinji and his Servant. TYPE-MOON explains that Shinji is an elite hacker and Asia's gaming champion. The servant is a woman with a big scar.
She loves a big brawl. So, we're getting a certain kind of fighting dynamic here in the upcoming title.
Fate/EXTRA Record is launching worldwide on January 28, 2027. It'll be playable on the PS5, Switch 2, PS4, Switch, and PC via Steam. Meteorise and TYPE-MOON are the developers and Aniplex is publishing the game. The multi-platform launch means that a lot of people can get their hands on it based on the hardware they have.
We wrote about the last Fate/EXTRA Record update, which featured many of the same types of balance and stability topics. However, this new trailer is part of the ongoing marketing campaign for the January release. It's nice to see they're detailing certain characters as part of the gameplay experience. It'll be launching on the date with no regional issues.
