Escape from playtime is now out of open beta and onto steam early access through Mob Entertainment, offering up a greater co-op experience for those wanting to push the limits. Going from a 4 player co-op game to 8 players has a drastic effect on how you coordinate with your group in those horror escape situations. Now you and your friends will be able to have the whole friend group experience the game, although that does come with some more complicated enemy interactions that need more coordinated effort in order to survive.
Mob Entertainment adds Critters and Sketch-A-Map to the horror game
This is a co-op horror game where you'll be fending off threats and completing goals. The basic gist of it is getting away from all the bad stuff. Now the early access version is bringing a whole host of new challenges and new things to experience. It's got a nice mix of things you'll recognize and new things you'll have to deal with that help keep it unpredictable as you climb the levels.
With the addition of new enemies called Critters in the game. Some of which are there right away while others are locked up until you get certain levels of progress. Additionally, new items will be in the pool. Things that are cosmetic or useful like the Sketch-A-Map that can help you with navigating and strategies.
Mob entertainment is giving their development roadmap as well showing that we will be seeing a bunch of new things in the first month of Early Access. New items and emotes, as well as a specific Candy Cat update coming in which will add to the game lore and mechanics. All this new content being pumped out as fast as they can in order to keep people engaged. Gives us a pretty clear idea of where they're headed in the further evolution of the game beyond the current state.
