Analogue brings retro gaming into the modern era with SuperNT+ and MegaSG+, adding wireless and modern ports for classic SNES and Sega Mega Drive systems. This is a huge deal, because it removes a lot of friction for collectors who want to play with wireless controllers or swap games without needing to reboot the system. It's great to see that Analogue is finally listening to their users and adding USB-C power and wireless capabilities to their FPGA consoles.

Analogue updates retro consoles with wireless controllers and USB-C power

While the SuperNT+ is aimed at SNES fans, the MegaSG+ is geared towards Sega Mega Drive / Genesis enthusiasts. The same FPGA tech that ensures perfect emulators of the classic hardware is here. The Analogue SuperNT+ and MegaSG+ were designed to look like the next generation of their original console designs, and not as completely new products. That's to make sure the original gaming experience is preserved, but without the technical constraints from older models.

  • Connectivity: Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz wireless controller support
  • Power Input: USB-C
  • Price: $219.99
  • SuperNT+ Colors: Classic, SF, Black
  • MegaSG+ Styles: USA, Europe, Japan

So, what are these new features? For starters, both the SuperNT+ and MegaSG+ will have Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless controller connectivity built-in. The power supply also switches to a standard USB-C port, and the box comes with the adapter/cable you'll need.

The SuperNT+ even lets you change games without needing to power cycle, and features a new Start button that can be used for power. This will help in day-to-day use when swapping cartridges or using different controllers.

The SuperNT+ will be available in three colors: Classic, SF, and Black. The MegaSG+ will come in three different regional flavors: USA, Europe, and Japan. All the new consoles are $219.99 (that's about $220 for all of you).

This price is global and the same for all the different colors/styles. Just keep in mind that pre-orders open at 6:00 PM Moscow time on October 19th, but the consoles won't be shipping until December 2026.

Pre-orders for both the SuperNT+ and MegaSG+ start at 6:00 PM Moscow time on October 19th. That means you can secure your console right away… but be prepared to wait over 2 years to get it! The shipping date for both consoles is December 2026.

That's a long time to wait for these FPGA consoles to arrive. If you're a collector who wants to get your hands on these new consoles right away, you'll have to wait until late 2026.
