Grinding Gear Games has simplified how Path of Exile 2 players manage character builds, which removes a tedious manual step for those who share strategies online. The new subscription system lets players follow guides directly, ensuring their in-game tools stay current without constant attention. This change matters to players who rely on community guides to optimize their endgame progression.

New subscription system automates guide updates for PC and console players

The update arrives with version 0.5, titled Return of the Ancients, which focuses on streamlining the game's more difficult content. Path of Exile 2 continues to expand its feature set for both PC and console audiences. Path of Exile 2 is a free-to-play action role-playing game that focuses on extensive character customization and cooperative gameplay.

Build guides now feature subscribe buttons that link directly to a player's Path of Exile website account. Once subscribed, the game automatically updates the guide data in the client, eliminating the need for manual file downloads. This integration extends the build guide tool to console players, who previously lacked access to this functionality.

Console players may encounter issues with the new subscription feature due to a recent rollback of the initial deployment. A Grinding Gear Games developer stated that the team is working to resolve these problems as soon as possible. The company acknowledged that the initial console rollout faced technical hurdles that may affect current functionality.
