Pearl Abyss has released Title Update 1.06.00 for Crimson Desert. The patch arrives with a download size of 4.7GB for PC players. This update introduces several new gameplay mechanics and quality-of-life improvements to the open-world action RPG.
Smithies now allow recovery of refined materials at specific rates.
The most significant addition is the ability to register special mounts after gaining their trust. Players can now bond with bears, boars, wolves, deer, mountain goats, kuku birds, iguanas, raptors, camels, lions, and tigers. The update also adds an extraction feature at smithies that allows players to recover materials used for equipment refinement.
Recovery rates vary by material type. Special materials such as Artifacts and Aeserion’s scale are recovered at 100% of the amount used. Common materials like iron ore, copper ore, and bloodstones are recovered at approximately 70%. Additionally, the patch introduces a new item called the Sigil of Valor, which causes pet dogs to attack enemies when equipped.
Other updates include new unarmed combat skills for the character Oongka and a Night Tone Mode option for graphics settings. The team fixed issues with HDR and Frame Generation crashing when using external overlay programs. They also improved climbing over windows and adjusted camera angles when following NPCs.
DSOGaming reported the full patch notes for this release. Pearl Abyss has not confirmed the schedule for future updates.
