Pearl Abyss releases stability patch for PC and consoles on August 7

The update arrives as version 1.17.00 for PC and build 1.000.434 for console platforms. It addresses core mechanics that affect daily play, including combat challenges and inventory management. Players will notice changes to how items are assigned and how challenge progress is tracked.

Pearl Abyss fixed an issue where progress toward the 'Desperate Rescue' challenge was not counted correctly. The patch also corrected a bug where an unintended item appeared in the quick slot after consuming all assigned food. Additionally, the unique effects of special headgear now activate properly in specific situations.

Audio and visual glitches received attention in this release. Footstep sounds no longer overlap, and animations stop stuttering while the player moves. The map no longer displays icons for unobtainable treasure chests or shows trade routes in an abnormal way. Localization errors across all languages have also been improved.

Known issues remain for specific hardware configurations. GTX 1060 users experience a white screen when enabling Upscaling and . FSR4 upscaling causes rain to disappear or the screen to become blurry in rainy environments. We looked at the last Crimson Desert update earlier while tracking stability improvements.

The update is available globally on August 7. No new pricing or regional restrictions apply to this release. Players on all supported platforms can download the fix now.
