Razed Mods released a significant update for the NaturalVision Enhanced mod for Grand Theft Auto 5 in July 2025. This next-generation patch targets game version 1.0.1013.34 and aims to further improve the graphics and visuals of the title. The developer stated that the new version seeks to enhance the overall visual fidelity of the game.
The update introduces a physically-based sky scattering model to upgrade the sky shaders. Vehicle shaders now feature PBR-inspired paint, GGX specular highlights, and clearcoat effects on all vehicle parts. Water shaders received similar treatment with subsurface scattering, GGX specular, whitecaps, and physically-based water absorption.
Adds ray-traced reflections and physically-based sky scattering
PostFX shaders were upgraded with improved filmic tonemapping to provide day and night adaptive grading with deeper blacks. The mod adds raytraced mirror reflections to over 70 stock game vehicles. All objects in the game now cast raytraced shadows, a feature the vanilla game did not support.
Rain effects have been enhanced with raindrops appearing on vehicles, pedestrians, props, and glass during rainy weather. A new lens rain drop shader supports Rain and Thunder weather conditions. The update also improves puddle ripple render resolution from 256 to 1024 pixels.
The NaturalVision Enhanced update is available globally as of July 2025. This release continues the developer's effort to bring next-gen visual features to the long-running open-world game.
