Supply chain reports indicate that BOE's OLED panels cost approximately five dollars less per unit compared to Samsung Display's offerings. The South Korean manufacturer intends to keep Samsung Display as its primary panel supplier while bringing in BOE as a secondary source for the standard Galaxy S27 models.

The base version of the Galaxy S27 might utilize an older set of OLED materials instead of the latest generation technology currently produced by Samsung Display.
