As a Online member, get your free digital profile icons in celebration of the The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake release! This latest update provides a new way to customize your profile without additional cost.

Eight profile icons and backgrounds available for Platinum Points

Exclusive reward set for the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake includes a total of eight unique icons. Featuring the young Link, Adult Link, Princess Zelda, Saria, Sheik, Kaepora, Deku Baba, and The Spiritual Stone. In order to receive all the icons, 80 Platinum Points are needed. Each individual icon is priced at 10 Platinum Points.

The Platinum Points can be obtained from various activities and missions while playing the game. You do not need to spend money in order to earn them.

The digital profile icons will still be yours even after your Switch Online membership ends. So you can be sure that you will always have your hard earned rewards.

To accompany the release of these new digital profile icons, Nintendo has also unveiled a set of fresh backgrounds and frames inspired by the remake. These additional visual elements further enhance the customization options for subscribers.

This is just the first batch of rewards. We have weekly rotation planned out for the following four weeks.

Though Nintendo has provided various digital rewards in the past, this particular tie-in is aimed at the fans of the upcoming remake. The emphasis on free and activity-based rewards underscores the intention of enhancing the value provided to current members. For fans of Zelda franchise, this is a chance to show your support for the new game.

Please note that these rewards are available for a limited time during the current rotation. Be sure to grab them before the next update!

It's a nice way to keep players engaged without imposing a barrier for basic customization. As we briefly mentioned Nintendo Switch 2 Emulator Lichii Boots Zelda in our previous Nintendo content, but remember, this update is only for those subscribed to Switch Online. The rewards are instant and can be claimed without any extra action. You can obtain the required Platinum Points by completing various tasks within the game.

In addition to the profile icons, the new backgrounds and frames offer additional visual customization options for users who desire more than just profile images. This release is a clear indication that Nintendo is eager to celebrate the remake and reward its subscribers.

Platinum Points for profile icons is a hollow reward. It costs 80 points to get the full set. The points come from gameplay though. So it is free if you play. The icons stay even if you cancel. That part is solid.

finally some nice icons for my switch profile 👀

Do I need to buy the remake to get the points or can I just play the demo? Also is the weekly rotation going to include the other characters or just more of these eight?

The article states you earn points from activities and missions while playing the game. It does not mention a demo. You likely need the full game to access those missions. The eight icons are for this week. The next four weeks will have different rewards.

I don’t get why this is exclusive to online subscribers. Digital items should be part of the game purchase tbh.

This reminds me of the old amiibo cards but digital. I wonder if we will see more Zelda items later.
