GameSir has announced a new gaming controller called the Nova Vision that takes a unique approach to controllers. The Nova Vision introduces an in-controller display, something that is quite unlike anything on the market today. With an in-controller display, you're able to navigate in-device config menus without having to go through a phone or PC screen.

Controller includes Hall Effect sticks and Switch 2 support

If you're interested in altering button mapping or the sensitivity of the triggers, the feature eliminates the need to switch between devices to do so. It's a really handy feature for gamers that want the ability to adjust things on the go.

  • Display: Built-in display
  • OS: Vision OS
  • Sticks: Hall Effect
  • Connectivity: Tri-mode (wireless, Bluetooth, wired)
  • Polling Rate: 1,000Hz

The Nova Vision runs on a customized OS called Vision OS, which handles display menus on the screen. The controller comes with Hall Effect analog sticks, which rely on magnetic sensors to read stick movement and minimize wear and tear over time. The controller supports tri-mode connectivity.

You can connect to the controller with a wireless dongle, Bluetooth or via a wired USB cable. This ensures you can connect to a wide variety of setups without needing specific drivers or complicated connections.

The Nova Vision has a 1000Hz polling rate for quick data transmission, which is important for competitive gaming. The internal battery of the Nova Vision has a 1000mAh battery capacity for long gaming sessions. According to GameSir, the Nova Vision can be used on PC, Android, and the upcoming Switch 2. The controller also has adjustable triggers, which gives you control over analog depth input based on the type of game you're playing.

The Nova Vision comes in standard colors White and Black for $54.99. There's also a special edition for Nioh 3 for $64.99 if you're interested in that specific title. The standard colored controllers will be shipped out globally this month for immediate availability to early adopters. The Nioh 3 special edition will start shipping in December, so you can better time your purchase with the launch of the game.

The Nova Vision is unique in that it prioritizes local config with an in-controller display. The controller has all the expected performance upgrades such as Hall Effect sticks, but you also get the bonus of an in-controller display. You can purchase the standard version for general use or the special edition for game support. The Nova Vision is available in both colors and editions to purchase right now.

Vision OS is just a thin wrapper around the HID reports. The polling rate will suffer when the display buffer updates.

That looks super convenient for switching profiles on the fly. How is the battery life holding up with that extra screen running?

Fifty five bucks is steep for a novelty feature. I will wait for the price to drop to forty.

Does the menu system work without a mouse cursor or is it all button mashing through lists? I need to know for handheld use.

It uses the left stick to navigate the UI. It is actually quite snappy compared to phone apps.

switch 2 support is the real win here

Hall effect sticks are standard now. The display does not justify the premium over basic tri mode pads.

ngl the Nioh edition is the only one I want but sixty five is a lot for a themed skin.
