Cronos: The New Dawn, Lazarus DLC will arrive at a late 2026 release date according to Bloober Team. Their initial plans had been to release the DLC at an earlier fall release date, but now the date's been pushed to December 3rd, 2026. This gives more time to enjoy the base game, which has a sale that runs through November 2nd. This will also give them more time to polish up this expansion before it hits PC & Console.
Bloober Team pushes Lazarus DLC release to December 2026 with a new trailer
For this expansion, it will focus on the Caretaker, who is the secondary character in the base game. It'll be their story for this adventure. You'll take control of the Traveler who's trying to bring back the lost Essence.
He is stuck in the Terminal, separated from the Collective. This story arc will be about the road to becoming the beloved Caretaker. It focuses on how he doesn't want to let go of what he's lost.
The Lazarus DLC will release on December 3rd, 2026 for the usual platforms. This is assuming that things stay on track. For the Nintendo Switch 2, that'll see further delay and the expected release date is in the first quarter of 2027. This'll give the hybrid console port enough time to be worked on and not rush the initial release on desktop/console.
With the reveal for the release date, we got a new trailer for the DLC to check out. It gives us a look at this wasteland. The protagonist struggling with his isolation.
The base game is still available to buy at a discount. This sale runs through the end of October so anyone can grab the base game and play it. Then when the expansion hits, they'll be ready for that. We shared a preview of the DLC before so you can get an idea of the horror experience Bloober Team is building for this side story.
The Lazarus DLC's release date now has a late 2026 release for the main platforms. There's also the early 2027 release for Switch 2. This gives us the clear dates for those wanting to jump into this Caretaker's backstory within Cronos.
