Mageia has released the first release candidate for version 10 of its distribution. The update introduces new artwork and screensavers to the desktop environment. It also brings a comprehensive set of updated software packages to the system.

The full ISO file requires 5.6 GB of storage space. Users can choose between different desktop flavors with varying image sizes. The Plasma live image measures approximately 5.1 GB. The GNOME live image takes up about 4.8 GB. The Xfce live image is the smallest option at roughly 4.5 GB. These installations use around 1.2 GB of memory during operation.

Mageia 10 RC1 includes updated versions of several core applications and libraries.
