Friday, October 23, is when Apple’s iPhone Duo will arrive on the market. This is when the tech giant’s first foldable smartphone will be available for purchase. If you order one of the devices on its launch day, you’ll have to wait a long time until you receive it.
Hands-on footage reveals matte main display and soft hinge area
You won’t get your iPhone Duo until late January. This tells us the iPhone Duo is going to be pretty popular when it launches.
Specifications
- Display Type: Foldable with main matte display and secondary glossy display
- Camera: Rear dual camera
- Color Options: Star White, Night Sky
- Included Accessories: USB-C charging cable
The iPhone Duo is a foldable device. That’s what makes it different from Apple’s slab-type iPhones. On the back of the device, you’ll find a dual camera setup.
It comes with a USB-C charging cable. The iPhone Duo is available in two colorways: Star White and Night Sky.
If you watch some of the hands-on videos of the iPhone Duo, you’ll see it’s a foldable device. It has a matte display for the main screen and a glossy display for the secondary screen. You can barely see the crease on the main screen in some of the latest footage.
The space on the main screen above the hinge seems super soft. The softness of the space is a bit of a concern. It makes you wonder how durable the device will be and how noticeable the crease might be after using it for a few months.
Apple has confirmed that the iPhone Duo will ship starting on Friday, October 23. Apple also said that if you order the smartphone today, you shouldn’t expect to receive the device until late January. This is true when it comes to global availability.
