The firmware targets four specific 1440p monitors that currently support the G-Sync Pulsar technology. These models include the Acer Predator XB273U F5, AOC AGON PRO AG276QSG2, ASUS ROG STRIX Pulsar XG27AQNGV, and MSI MPG 272QRF X36. Owners of these displays need to install the update to access the new performance features.
The update reduces Motion Picture Response Time (MPRT) to 0.97ms at 240Hz with Pulse Width set to 50. This improvement brings the motion clarity to a level NVIDIA claims is equivalent to a 1,000Hz monitor. At 360Hz, the MPRT drops from 1.64ms to 1.14ms, which matches the sharpness of 60Hz ULMB2 mode at maximum brightness.
