Lenovo introduces two new ThinkVision monitors that bring distinct display technologies to the P-series lineup. The ThinkVision P27UL-40 arrives this March with OLED technology for users who prioritize contrast and color accuracy. The ThinkVision P34WD-4V follows in December with an ultra-wide IPS panel designed for productivity and multitasking workflows. These releases expand Lenovo's options for desktop users seeking specific screen real estate and visual performance.

Lenovo expands its P-series lineup with an OLED display and an ultra-wide IPS option

The ThinkVision P27UL-40 features a 27-inch OLED display with a standard 16:9 aspect ratio. It delivers a 4K resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels for sharp text and detailed imagery. Lenovo utilizes inkjet printing technology for this OLED panel to reduce production costs. The company claims this manufacturing method enables impressive contrast performance and true blacks through pixel-level dimming. The display supports HDR10 and covers 99% of the DCI-P3 and 100% of the sRGB color gamuts.

Connectivity on both monitors relies on a robust set of ports to handle modern peripherals. Each model includes a Thunderbolt 4 input and output, along with DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1. The P27UL-40 supports variable refresh rates between 60 and 120 Hz. The P34WD-4V offers a 34-inch ultra-wide IPS screen with a 3440 x 1440 resolution. This IPS panel peaks at 300 nits and covers 98% DCI-P3, 99% sRGB, and 99% BT.709. It also features a 5 MP built-in front camera with nearby observer detection technology, though Lenovo has not revealed the exact functioning of this privacy feature.

Ergonomic adjustments vary slightly between the two models to suit different desk setups. The P27UL-40 allows for height adjustment up to 155 mm, 45-degree swivel, 23.5 to -5 degree tilt, and 90-degree pivot. The P34WD-4V shares the height, tilt, and swivel capabilities but lacks the pivot function. The P27UL-40 launches on March 20, 2027, for $1,299 USD (around $1,299).
