FiiO has released the QX11, a mobile dongle DAC and amplifier designed to replace the KA17 in its lineup. This update matters because it delivers significantly more power for users who drive demanding headphones or gaming headsets. The device targets smartphone and PC gamers who need reliable audio performance in a portable form factor.

Replaces KA17 with dual DACs and dedicated gaming presets

The QX11 sits inside a chassis made of aluminium alloy and forged carbon fiber. It connects to devices via dual USB-C ports that also support 45 W PD charging for the host phone. A built-in microphone with AI environmental noise cancellation allows for clear voice communication during calls or gaming sessions.

The company claims this output is much higher than the KA17's 650 mW + 650 mW. FiiO founder James Chung called the QX11 an incremental update over the KA17.

Retail listings place the QX11 at $169.99. The device became available in late August 2024. Buyers looking for a powerful dongle DAC with gaming-specific features should note the price point. The QX11 offers a concrete step up in power for mobile audio enthusiasts.
