Xiaomi started rolling out the HyperOS 4 Beta to eligible devices on August 13, 2026, but the update comes with a significant caveat for power users. If you rely on the miclaw AI agent for your daily workflow, you will need to stay on HyperOS 3. This creates a direct trade-off for testers who want to try the new operating system features while keeping their AI tools intact.

Users must choose between new OS features and the AI agent

The HyperOS 4 Beta is the latest software iteration from Xiaomi for its smartphone lineup. The company is currently distributing this beta version to a select group of users globally. This release marks the transition from the previous HyperOS 3 platform to the newer architecture.
