Vivo confirms the X500 Pro series will support 4K video recording at 240fps, with future modes reaching 960fps using in- house interpolation algorithms.

Vivo is preparing to release the X500 Pro series in September, bringing a significant upgrade to mobile video capabilities that matters to content creators and mobile gamers. The company confirmed that the new lineup will support 4K video recording at 240 frames per second, a feature that allows users to capture high-resolution slow-motion footage directly from the device.

New smartphone lineup targets content creators with high-speed video capture

The series relies on MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9600 chip to handle the heavy processing load required for such high-speed video encoding. We have been tracking Vivo X500 Pro series closely — see our earlier coverage on Vivo X500 Pro Max leak reveals.

Hardware specifications point to a 6.85-inch LTPO display with a 144Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth navigation and gaming performance. The camera system is expected to feature a 50-megapixel 1/1.28-inch Sony LOFIC main sensor and a 200-megapixel Samsung HP0 telephoto lens.

Vivo product manager Han Boxiao has confirmed that the X500 Pro series will support 4K video recording at 240fps using the Zeiss Super Dynamic main camera. The company is also working on 4K 480fps and 4K 960fps slow-motion modes. These will be achieved through Vivo’s in-house 4K frame interpolation and video speed mapping algorithms, enabling 16x and 32x slow motion while maintaining 4K output.

The Vivo X500 series is confirmed to launch in September on a global scale. This timeline provides a concrete target for buyers waiting for the next generation of Vivo hardware.
