The project was originally developed to support Android VR games on the Steam Frame. Valve has now released the code on GitLab for public access. This release follows the success of Proton, which enabled Windows games to run on Linux. Lepton extends that legacy by bringing Android compatibility to the desktop and handheld platforms.
