Starbucks Japan launches Pokemon collaboration with Pikachu latte and gold Gholdengo figure
The centerpiece of the collection is the Pikachu Honey Cream Latte. This beverage combines iced espresso with honey and caramel flavors, topped with honey-flavored whipped cream. A heart-shaped garnish on the drink mimics Pikachu's signature red cheeks. The drink will be available from September 30 to October 8.
Starbucks is offering several merchandise items alongside the beverage. A straw tumbler features a Poke Ball-inspired lid and costs 4,800 JPY (around $30.36). An apron is available for the same price. A 550ml kettle featuring Pikachu with his pals is priced at 5,800 JPY (around $36.68).
Pokemon has also revealed a pure gold Gholdengo collectible figure that costs $10,000. This high-end item stands out as the most expensive piece in the lineup. Most of the merchandise collection will go on sale through Starbucks Japan’s online store from September 30 to October 2. The drink remains available in stores until October 8.
Illustrator Hikaru Ichijo created 12 original artworks for this collaboration. These designs appear across the various merchandise items. The collection targets collectors who value exclusive gaming-related lifestyle products. Buyers should note that availability is limited to Japan during the specified dates.
