Center-etched Thin Glass aims to improve durability and foldability

The technology targets Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 9 and potentially the Galaxy Z Flip 9 series. Samsung Display is currently working on a hybrid solution for its UTG implementation while developing CTG. The new glass technique thins only the central part of the display panel. This specific etching aims to reduce crease visibility and allow for easier folding mechanics.
