Samsung has released the first beta version of One UI 9 for its Galaxy S26 series smartphones. The update arrived on May 5, 2026, in Germany and the United States. This release marks the first Android 17-based beta for the company's flagship devices.

Galaxy S26 Ultra receives priority rollout over standard models

The beta build requires a 3.6 GB download and includes security patches dated May 5, 2026. Key improvements include updated desktop previews for Samsung DeX. The update also introduces additional customization options for the Quick Panel that were absent in the previous One UI 8 release.
