Samsung has started pushing the stable One UI 9 update to Galaxy users, marking the first time the new software reaches the public. This release matters because it brings significant interface changes and new tools to the latest flagship devices. Buyers with recent Samsung phones can now access these features without waiting for a beta program.

New software brings My FanCam and editable Now Brief cards to flagship phones

The update lands first on the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. These devices receive the full stable experience immediately as Samsung begins the global rollout. Other models like the Z Flip 7, Z Fold 7, and older S-series phones will get the update later.

  • Initial Devices: Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, Galaxy S26 Ultra
  • Beta Devices: Galaxy Z Flip 7, Z Fold 7, Z Flip 6, Z Fold 6, S25 series, S24 series, S23 series, A57/A56/A55, A37/A36/A35, A25
  • New Features: My FanCam, Generative and Editable Cards on Now Brief, customizable Quick Panel, Tape feature in Samsung Notes, extended Game Booster, improved DeX support

One UI 9 introduces several new features to enhance daily use. The update adds My FanCam for better photo framing and editable Now Brief cards for quicker access to information. Users can also customize the Quick Panel and use a new Tape feature in Samsung Notes.

Samsung plans to expand the rollout to more devices over the coming weeks. The company has not yet confirmed exact dates for the Z Flip 6, Z Fold 6, or A-series models. We looked at the last One UI 9 update earlier while tracking Samsung's development cycle.

The stable One UI 9 update is now available for initial devices, with broader availability expected soon. Samsung continues to refine the software experience for its growing lineup of Galaxy smartphones and foldables.
