PowerA is working on a new flight simulation controller for Xbox, called Project X-Ray. The controller is still in development, so no release date or price has been set yet. PowerA has opened sign-ups for those who want updates.

Wireless flight controller with swappable faceplate

The controller is wireless and designed for Xbox consoles, as indicated by an Xbox button on the device. PowerA is developing it in partnership with Meridian GMT. It targets flight sim enthusiasts who want a dedicated controller.

Project X-Ray features a left thumbstick, ABXY buttons, flap and engine levers, trim and landing gear knobs, and a dedicated autopilot control that replaces the D-pad. The faceplate is swappable, allowing users to switch between aircraft and helicopter control layouts.

The controller is still in development, so pricing and availability remain unconfirmed. A PC version of the controller costs $150, but that price is speculative for the Xbox version. PowerA is not yet committing to a final price.
