OnePlus is putting its compact smartphone efforts on hold, giving customers fewer choices for small phones. This leaves fans wanting compact phones in the lurch, as they now have to wait indefinitely for a new compact smartphone. OnePlus has essentially communicated its intent to focus more on large screens, effectively nixing any chances of a timely update to the current compact line.
OnePlus 15T remains the only compact smartphone available as the company shifts focus to larger devices
The OnePlus 15T is the only compact smartphone OnePlus offers right now. The smartphone has a 6.32" display, while it weighs just 194 grams. It features the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC along with a massive 7,500mAh battery.
Specifications
- Processor: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
- Battery: 7,500mAh
- Display Size: 6.32 inches
- Weight: 194g
- Main Camera: 50MP
All that while keeping a compact form factor. The phone runs ColorOS 16-based Android 16. It is IP69K water-resistant too, for extra durability.
The OnePlus 15T starts at 4,299 YUAN (≃ $645) CNY (≃ $645) in China. The phone was launched back in March, and is a China-only release, with no global plans in sight. On the camera side, the phone has a 50MP primary sensor, and a 50MP 3.5x telephoto camera.
The tipster Digital Chat Station said that OnePlus is not going to refresh their small-screen phone for the moment. That pretty much confirms that the successor to OnePlus 15T isn't going to come out anytime soon. OnePlus hasn't addressed these reports yet, so we're still not sure about the fate of OnePlus' compact phones.

OnePlus killed the compact line. The 15T was their last shot. Big screens win now. No successor is coming. Fans are on their own.
Is the 194 gram weight actually comfortable for one handed play. I worry about the 6.32 inch display getting too wide for small hands. Can anyone confirm the grip profile.
