Microsoft will add a setting to remap the Copilot key in a Windows 11 update coming in 2026. Users will be able to change the key to function as Right Ctrl or Context Menu.

Setting located under Bluetooth & devices

The setting will be located under Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Keyboard. The change applies to all Windows 11 PCs that have a Copilot key, regardless of the manufacturer.

Microsoft is not allowing full remapping to macros or custom apps. The feature is limited to the two predefined options.
