Lenovo added a new Rhein Green colorway to its Legion G9 2026 controller lineup. The update targets owners of the Legion Tab Gen 5 handheld who want a matching accessory for their device.

New green variant includes exclusive football-inspired thumbstick caps and matches FIFA World Cup edition tablet

The Legion G9 2026 controller attaches directly to the Legion Tab Gen 5 via USB-C. The controller adds physical inputs and connection ports to enhance the Legion Tab Gen 5 for gaming.

  • Colorway: Rhein Green
  • Price (China): ¥599 (~$89/€77)
  • Price (Carbon Gray variant): ¥499 (~$74/€64)
  • Joysticks: Hall Effect joysticks
  • Back buttons: Four customizable back buttons with support for 12-key macro support

This variant includes Hall Effect joysticks, four customizable back buttons that support 12-key macros, and micro-Switch D-pad and ABXY buttons. Users can switch between an Xbox layout and a layout for the face buttons. The controller also features dual vibration motors, RGB lighting, an audio jack, and a USB-C port for passthrough charging.

The Rhein Green version comes with two football-inspired thumbstick caps that match its color scheme. This design detail distinguishes it from the standard Carbon Gray model. All other hardware specifications remain identical to the base variant.

Pricing for the Rhein Green controller sits at ¥599 CNY in China, which translates to approximately $88.20 USD. The Carbon Gray variant costs ¥499 CNY, making the new color a modest premium. Buyers outside China can order the Rhein Green model from AliExpress for $135.07 USD.

Lenovo originally released the Legion G9 2026 controller in Carbon Gray alongside the Chinese version of the Legion Tab Gen 5. The new green finish aligns with the Legion Y700 Gen 5 2026 FIFA World Cup Limited Edition tablet sold in that region. The new colorway allows users to coordinate their gaming setup with existing Lenovo hardware.

The Rhein Green Legion G9 2026 controller is now available through Lenovo's Chinese storefront and AliExpress globally. It retains all core features of the original model while offering a distinct aesthetic option for handheld gaming enthusiasts.
