HP has added the OmniDesk Mini to its lineup of Panther Lake-powered devices, giving users a compact option for desktop computing. This release matters because it brings the latest Intel Core Ultra processors to a small form factor that supports external graphics. Buyers looking for a space-saving PC with upgradeable GPU potential should take note of these new configurations.

Compact desktop with Thunderbolt 4 eGPU support and Core Ultra processors

The OmniDesk Mini comes in two primary configurations for the US market, each centered on a different Intel Core Ultra processor. One model features the Intel Core Ultra 7 356H, while the other utilizes the Core Ultra 5 325. Both units rely on the integrated 4-core Xe3 iGPU for standard display output and light graphics tasks.

The system supports quad display output and allows users to connect two OmniDesk Mini units together using Thunderbolt Share.

Performance analysis suggests the integrated Xe3 iGPU is less capable than the older Radeon 780M graphics. This limitation means the device may not satisfy users who require strong integrated graphics for gaming or heavy creative work without an external GPU. The Thunderbolt 4 ports provide a pathway to add discrete graphics performance if needed.

Pricing for the US models starts at $1,089.99 for the Core Ultra 5 325 version and rises to $1,509.99 for the Core Ultra 7 356H version. An EU model featuring the Core Ultra 9 386H and 24GB of RAM is listed at €1,899.00 but is not currently available for purchase. These US configurations are available on Best Buy.
