This release matters because it brings the latest high-performance chips to a mainstream 16-inch form factor at a starting price under $1,600. Mainstream laptop offers Core Ultra 7 or 9 with OLED screens
The laptop features a 16-inch OLED display as its standard screen. The base model offers a 1,920 by 1,200 resolution with a 60 Hz refresh rate. Buyers can pay an extra $60 to upgrade to a 2,880 by 1,880 panel with a 120 Hz variable refresh rate.

Connectivity options include a choice between two Realtek modems. One modem provides Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 6. The other offers Bluetooth 6.0 and Wi-Fi 7. The device ships in Glacier Silver, Meteor Silver, Sahara Silver, or Starlit Blue.
Pricing starts at $1,399 for a pre-configured unit with the Core Ultra 7 355, 16 GB of RAM, and a 512 GB SSD. A fully customizable model with these specs costs $1,599. A fully loaded configuration reaches $2,489 when purchased directly from HP.
