Square Enix set a spring 2027 release window for Final Fantasy VII: Revelation. The studio plans to launch the title simultaneously on PC, , , and |S. This timing follows the completion of the previous entries in the trilogy.

Square Enix confirms multi-platform release strategy for the trilogy finale.

Director Naoki Hamaguchi explained that the team maintained core staff continuity throughout development. He stated that planning for Revelation began before Remake finished production. The studio carried those early concepts forward into the Rebirth cycle and now toward Revelation.

The game targets a global audience across all four platforms. Square Enix aims to reduce wait times between releases by overlapping development phases. Hamaguchi noted that this approach helps avoid typical delays in modern AAA projects.

Final Fantasy VII: Revelation continues the story arc started in Remake and Rebirth. The studio built on established workflows rather than restarting production from scratch. This strategy keeps the team focused on finishing the title within the planned window.
