Battlestate Games has announced that Escape from Tarkov will receive its first core season, called Kord Breach, in July 2025.
Seasonal character category and difficulty modifiers detailed
The season introduces a new seasonal character category that players can use alongside regular characters. Each season will last at least 74 days. At the start of a season, players can choose positive and negative difficulty modifiers to tailor their experience. New clothing lines themed around Black Division outfits will also be available.
The studio's Nikita Buyanov has stated that there are thousands of years of seasons coming, indicating a long-term commitment to the seasonal model.
Insider Gaming reported the announcement. Battlestate Games has not confirmed the exact launch date within July.
